Being active is a great way to incorporate daily physical activity while setting goals and feeling the sense of accomplishment once they are achieved.  We found one app that challenges every athlete regardless of fitness level.  It sets goals, motivates you, and encourages you to compete with friends, track results and create training routes in your area.

Map My Run is free to join and can be used on both Smartphone’s and online.  It is so simple to use that we have highlighted our favorite qualities just for you.

  1. Fuel your fitness with the designated nutrition center where you can log food, calculate your BMI and see healthy food choices.
  2. Routes: what better way to challenge yourself to go faster or longer than creating different routes that are saved in your account.  This is also valuable for those days when you aren’t motivated to do a hard or long route; you can select what route will be best for your body.
  3. Workouts are fun with a buddy and even more exciting when you can track your training program and then share with your friends to compete and motivate each other.
